Man sues hospital for circumcision

Sioux Falls, South Dakota- An inmate at the South Dakota State Penitentiary is suing the hospital that performed a circumcision on him 28 years ago.

Some claim that being uncircumcised benefits males with more enjoyable sex, and helps makes men feel their penis is larger, But their are health and hygiene issues associated with uncircumcised males. It was information like this that one Sioux Falls inmate was researching when he decided to sue a hospital for damages.

28-year-old inmate Dean Cochrun is suing Sanford Hospital (previously known as Sioux Valley Hospital), for performing a circumcision on him shorty after he was born. He filed a complaint Friday in federal court stating that he was recently made aware of the fact that he had been circumcised. He added that the procedure has left him feeling inadequate and unable to fully enjoy sex.

Sanford Hospital officials responded to the complaint in writing, saying that the circumcision would not have been performed without Cochrun's parent's consent. Cochrun's law suit asks Sanford Hospital for punitive damages and a $1,000 compensation for the unwanted circumcision.

Man forces woman to read Bible at gunpoint

Rowan County police say a young man held a shotgun to the head of a woman and made her read scriptures from the Bible, The Salisbury Post reports.

20-year-old Jonathan Alan Morton held 19-year-old Elizabeth Nichols against her will inside his bedroom Sunday night for a bizarre Bible study session. He pressed a double-barreled shotgun to the back of Nichols' head forcing her to read her favorite scripture. Morton also threatened her by sticking a screwdriver against her throat and quoting Jesus.

Eventually Nichols escaped and called 911, she was taken to a hospital (simply routine, she had no injuries).

Jonathan Alan Morton was taken into custody shortly after midnight Sunday, he was arrested as he walked in a ditch near his home, he is currently held on a $35,500 bond.

Decapitated snake bites man, hospitalized

There are 100's of different poisonous snakes in the United States, and every year thousands are hospitalized due to snake bites. But those hospitalized are normally bitten by live fully in-tacked snakes, but one Alabama man is poisoned by a severed head.

41-year-old James McMahon is a homeless man in Mobile, dealing with stray snakes is a normal part of everyday life in the homeless encampment were he lives. A cottonmouth snake had made its way into the encampment from a near by creek, the residents cut the snakes head off to avoid falling victim to the predators deadly bite.

But not everyone knew to take it as serious, and that snake heads can live longer when removed from their body.

McMahon then began to playing with the severed head of the cottonmouth, when he put his finger into the snakes mouth it triggered a reflex, and that's when the not completely dead snake head bit down on his finger.

EMTs were called immediately, but McMahon was scared and hid from them refusing to come out until they left. But once McMahon began to show the effects of the venom paramedics returned to take him to the emergency room.

He was treated at the University of Southern Alabama Medical Center and is expected to make a full recovery. He was later released and able to return to the encampment. The Snake wasn't so lucky, he died on scene.

Batman escapes traffic ticket

The streets of Rockville Maryland were quite, shadowed and foreboding, but under the watch of a caped crusader who was on duty to keep the city safe of crime. But on this night, the Dark Knight was guilty of a crime himself, and that triggered police to pull him over.

Rockville Police pulled over a black Lamborghini over the weekend with the Batman logo on it. The license plate also sported the popular super hero logo, and that plate is what lead to the traffic stop. The Batman logo plate wasn't an approved license plate in the state.

When police approached the driver, they were surprised to see that the driver, Lenny B. Robinson, was dressed head to toe as the Dark Knight. He was complete with mask, cape, utility belt and gloves.

Robinson was very understanding and cooperative, so police just let him off with a warning when he was able to show them the proper plate, but it did come at a price, the officers posed with him and his car for some novelty pictures and Batman was more then happy to do it.

Lenny B. Robinson dresses as Batman to visit sick children at hospitals. His vehicle is part of the service he provides to children for smiles and the fun of imagination.

Man cuts off own hand with knife

Apparently one Southern California man felt one hand was more then enough and took matters in his other hand. Investigators say an Adelanto man (whose name is being withheld) cut his own hand completely off with a kitchen knife, deliberately.

San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies respond to a 911 call about a man loosing lots of blood last Wednesday afternoon. They discover a victim with a freshly severed hand, and the man was loosing a lot of blood. He was taken immediately to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Investigators were shocked to discover that the man deliberately cut off his own hand, but no one knows exactly why. It is unknown if he was using drugs or if he suffered from a mental condition as of yet, all is known is the man wounded himself.

There has been no word about the man's condition, or if it was possible to reattach the severed hand.
